I have stayed in twin/double room with a double bed, table or chairs, for instance for 2 nights. It was very close to must see areas, tram stops Gulhane, and Galata bridge, stunning location overall. I ate in the rooftop restaurant nearby.

This is a small, but nice, very well located hotel. It has been recently renovated, so, although the rooms are quite small, but newly furnished, comfortable, very clean as the entiraly hotel, and have all the things you need. My room was a bigger one, a corner room with 2 balcony and was really beautiful, cleaned everyday. The bathroom is also absolutely ok. The breakfast served on the top floor terasse. If its raining, the breakfast will be served in to your room, since the hotel has not a covered breakfast room. The staff is very kind and helpfull, they speak english, so its no problem to understand each other. Special thanks for Emek, Cetin and especially Mert, they make my the feelings, like at home.
Maybe its a bit noisy in daytime, but there are sound proof windows, and they works well. It didnt disturb me, since I was all day out, and from 10pm till 9am is silant outside.

Staff were very helpful. Location is very good to reach all the important places at walkable distance. Best value for money.Comfortable stay for backpacker, lonely traveller or young couple on a budget tour.
nothing very serious to complain about. lighting inside room could have been better. but in Istanbul you are not going to stay inside your room for long though.

A quick and honest take
A central gem for travelers! Just a short walk to major attractions like Topkapi Palace and the tram station. Rooms are clean, with special mentions for the friendly staff, especially Najib at reception. Breakfast was enjoyable, especially the coffee. A fantastic base for exploring the city!

Evrything was terrible as they were refurbishing the hotel at the same time, everything around was really dirty and dusty.
One day they were making a big noise till 2am, so that night I couldn't get asleep.

the breakfast was satisfactory and with good turkish tea. its location relatively near a functioning mosque was good.
Didn't like the staff, some of them were uncooperative.

The gulhane unfortunately did not meet my high expectations, as to my dismay, i had to deal with an array of issues including the tiniest room resembling a closet, and such low-quality housekeeping that i reminded me of a stranger in my own bathroom. I also expected a complimentary gesture to compensate for these drops in service, but alas, nothing.

The hotel is situated in an excellent location next to all the most important sites to see in the historical Istanbul. Everything is in walking distance. The staff is very friendly and helpful with anything you need to know. Loved the big comfortable bed even in a room for one person, and room service for breakfast :) Very happy with my stay.

The hotel is in a great location, super close to the tram station and historical sites. Staff was friendly, and the daily room service was nice. Breakfast had good options, and i really enjoyed the rooftop terrace vibe. The area feels safe once u get to know it. There's plenty of restaurants nearby. It's a good base for exploring.
The room i had was way too small and i felt a bit cramped. I also had a really bad experience with the door lock, and they didn't fix it on time.

I liked everything about this hotel. It has been such an amazing relaxing and lovely experience staying there! It's close to all interesting places in Istanbul. The location is just in center of the city, the tramway , buses and ferries made transportation very smoothly. the room is such a clean and neat area and the breakfast is good as well. The staff are so friendly and helpful. I recommend it to any traveler who is looking for an adventure and exploring Istanbul with a modest budget.

It was very confortable to stay in the hotel. All staff was helpful. A crean room, a shower is warm and strong enough. Great location;it located beside a tramway between Sirkeci and Gulhane. I could reach many tourist spots on foot and looked easy to take trams, trains and ferries as well. If you want to eat Turkish dishes, ask at the reception. Many cheap restaurants are close to the hotel.
For me, nothing to complain to the hotel. I'll definitely come back to stay in Istanbul. You may care noises from outside at weekends. If you have a big suitcase, you may not open it on a floor in a room for single person.
